I carabinieri del Noe di Catanzaro, oltre all’ex stabilimento Marlane, hanno sequestrato anche, su disposizione della Procura di Paola, l’area posta tra l’opificio e il lungomare Sirimarco di Praia a Mare, e la cisterna per le acque posizionata a monte. Secondo quanto si legge nel provvedimento firmato dal procuratore Pierpaolo Bruni e dal sostituto Teresa Valeria Greco, proprio in queste aree sarebbero state riscontrate delle anomalie magnetiche che potrebbero essere legate a “masse ferromagnetiche nel sottosuolo”.
Un dato che viene messo in correlazione con le dichiarazioni di alcuni ex lavoratori della Marlane che, sentiti come persone informate sui fatti, hanno sostenuto che “i rifiuti provenienti dalle lavorazioni dello stabilimento (bidoni, coloranti, rocchetti, materiali di pulizia delle vasche di tintoria, ecc) venivano interrati in buche sul lato mare”.
Proprio per trovare conferme a queste ipotesi la Procura ha chiesto e ottenuto un incidente probatorio durante il quale verranno effettuati carotaggi e campionamenti sui terreni e sulla struttura della ex fabbrica. In attesa delle operazioni di prelievo, il sequestro si è reso necessario per mantenere inalterato lo stato dei luoghi visto che “la recinzione e i sistemi antintrusione – si legge nel provvedimento – non risultano essere sufficienti alla salvaguardia della proprietà non ostacolando del tutto l’accesso da parte di estranei”.
